You are smart… right?

Of course the answer to this question is an absolute YES,  you’re most definitely smart or else you wouldn’t be reading this blog!

Second question, don’t worry, it’s another very easy one!

Would you like £50?

Obviously you would!  Who doesn’t love free money?  Although it doesn’t happen all that often which is why I need to tell you about how you can get your hands on some!

This is you, and your incredibly smart brain firing on all cylinders… and looking quite pretty too!

So now we’ve established that you’re very smart, and you would like a free £50 I shall let you know how easy it is to get your hands on! But first, just one more question…

Are you already a member of my discount club?

If the answer is NO, then you need to hit me up asap, as this is where the magic lies and I can get you your £50.

Here’s the slightly boring bit now, but I will make an attempt at jazzing it up a bit for you…

Join my discount club which will enable you, amongst other things, to get fantastic deals on your utility services, and when we book to get you a new Smart Meter fitted for your energy supplies, you will get a £50 discount credited to your bill for those services, cool hey!  You don’t even have to do anything, as I can book it all for you!

It really is as simple as that!

Now I hear lots of chinese whispers about these new fangled Smart Meters,  so to put your mind at rest that they are not the health destroying, alien inducing, super duper spying machines that they are purported to be I have put together some verified facts.

I’m not sure what she’s looking at but I’m pretty sure it’s nothing to do with energy meters!

Smart Meters are not dangerous, nor will they have any adverse effects on your health.

They have been rigorously tested and exceed every UK and EU safety regulation safety standard.  Public Health England has said that the radio waves produced by smart meters do not pose a risk or a danger to health.  In fact, they’ve found that exposure to radio waves from smart meters is much lower than the exposure from Wi-fi systems and mobile phones that we use already.

Smart Meters are safe and secure.

They are one of the safest and most secure pieces of technology in your home.  They’ve been designed by some of the country’s most senior cyber-security experts, including the National Cyber Security Centre, so you can rest assured that your meter data is safe from cyber attacks.

Smart Meters do not store your personal data.

They are similar to traditional meters, in that they only record the amount of energy you use through meter readings.  Only your energy information is stored on your smart meters and even this is encrypted to keep it secure.  No third parties can access your energy usage data without your permission.

Smart Meters do not run off of your internet.

They have their own secure, bespoke wireless system, so you can still have smart meters even if you don’t have internet access in your home.

Smart Meters are available to everyone and do not affect your energy supply.

No energy supplier can switch off or disconnect your power as you are protected by strict regulations, this is exactly the same as traditional meters.  If you rent your home and your energy bills are addressed to you, rather than your landlord you do not need their permission to change your energy supplier or have a smart meter installed.

Smart Meters are not a government run secret scheme which is being rolled out to spy on people.

They are merely a move on in technology from the old traditional meters, eliminating the need for you to provide meter readings to your energy supplier.  This means that your bills are always accurate and your usage is always up to date.

This has absolutely no relevance whatsoever but I liked it so thought it would brighten up this article about boring smart meters! Actually I think this unicorn has actually just realised that smart meters are in fact rather awesome and she’s signed up for her free £50 bonus! Alarming insight into my brain here!

Now I know that is a bit of an information overload but hopefully you now realise that these new meters are not the enemy, their design and purpose is to make life easier.  So no more hiking up ladders or going into spider infested dark dingy cupboards with a torch to try and obtain a meter reading.

And the lovely people at the company I work with are giving you a £50 bonus when your new shiny Smart Meter is fitted.  This is a limited time offer, so I would strongly advise you to take action with this and get in touch so we can get you hooked up.  The other plus side to this is that you will also save loads of money by joining the discount club, which in itself is free too!  So everyone’s a winner!

We can get this done in person or over the phone, whatever is easiest for you I’m happy to do, so don’t delay, let’s get you sorted and get you your £50 bonus before it ends!
